Pump.Pump.Pump.

*This post has been written for weeks.  In fact, the schedule included is no longer accurate because now I squeeze in nursing Dane and Estelle!  I didn't post it because after re-reading it I was afraid it came across whiny.  Well, so be it.  Here is my whiny pumping post!*

HOLY COW (no pun intended) I never suspected pumping was so invloved/time consuming/frustrating/etc.  I actually never gave it much thought at all and always planned on breastfeeding...well, nothing about this pregnancy has gone according to plan, at least not mine anyway :)

For non-pumping people (me up until 5 weeks ago), you don't even realize the committment it takes to pump.  Most women do so graciously without complaint.  Not me, just ask David!  The main greivance is the time.  I pump every 2 hours.  Pumping takes 35 minutes, cleaning pump parts and labeling bottles about 10 minutes leaving me approximately an hour for any chore, errand, baby holding, showering, etc before gearing up to be attached to the pump plugged into the wall again.
  One of the most common questions people ask is what my daily schedule looks like.  Here's a brief rundown starting in the morning:
8:00 Pump
Eat breakfast, catch up on news, call and check on the babies
10:00 Pump
Shower, get ready, pack up hospital bag
Noon Pump
Go to hospital, see all babies and get update from nurse
2:00pm Pump
Grab lunch downstairs, hold baby
4:00pm Pump
Hold baby, David arrives
6:00pm Pump
Hold baby
8:00pm Pump
Grab dinner downstairs
10:30pm Pump
Go to bed
2:30am Pump
Sleep
6:30am Pump
Sleep....Start from beginning!

As you can see, my life happens between pumps!!  The kitchen has been converted into a pump station, which is fine because absolutely no cooking is going on :)
