Two Thirds - Week One

Today is day 3 of two babies and no David.  Bubs came home at the first of the week and so he took off work Monday and Tuesday.  It was so great!!  He is so amazing with the kids.  Last night both the babies were awake and I told him to do story time, he read them The Tale of Three Trees and it melted my heart :)
Luckily my mom is awesome and has been coming over at 8am and staying till David gets home.  So I haven't had to handle the two little ones on my own yet.  Speaking of handling babies alone, last week I left Estelle with David while I ran an errand.  He was totally comfortable and I didn't worry at all.  I can't say it enough, he is a really great daddy.
Yesterday we took Estelle and Dane to the doctor.  It required myself, mom AND Diane.  Seriously.  2 babies + 2 carseats + 1 oxygen tank + 2 apnea monitors + 1 oxygen saturation monitor + purse + diaper bag...we were a mess!  They BOTH weighed in at 7lbs 9oz (with clothes on)!  Baby Dane has high blood pressure and we just started him on some medication.  Hopefully it will help and we will get some more information when we see the nephrologist in January in OKC.  Driving to OKC with a brand new baby in Januaray seems crazy, yes, but we want to know why little man's bp is so high.
Betsy is doing great.  She can now try to take all of her feedings by mouth as long as her respiratory rate is under 70.  Yesterday she had a swallow study.  This will determine (further prove) she has reflux and make sure she isn't microaspirating.  Miss her terribly and have to try not to cry on the phone with her nurse every time I call to check on her.
Finally, next to my mom being here, the biggest lifesaver has been the kindness of friends by way of meals.  Let me tell you, when that doorbell rings around 6 and a warm smile and hug is accompanied by a delicious dinner~ it the most welcomed sight David and I could ever imagine!!  Thank you so much for taking that off our plate.  Hehe  ;)
